My peer-reviewed article ‘The Scrapbook as an Archive: Collecting and Curating in the Kate Terry Scrapbook’ was published in Theatre Notebook, 75:1, 2021. The original version of this article submitted for my MA in History of Design at the Royal College of Art and the Victoria & Albert Museum received the Gillian Naylor Award for object-based research. I have been a theatre critic for over a decade, mostly for The Stage and Exeunt. Here are a few samples for your perusal:
Review: Being Mr Wickham (Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds/Online)
Review: Jane Eyre (Blackeyed Theatre/Online)
Review: Peace in Our Time (Union Theatre)
Review: Evita (Open Air Theatre)
Review: Flowers for Mrs Harris (Chichester Festival Theatre)
Feature: Rep Reborn: How the Revived Repertory Model is Lighting up Leatherhead

I am particularly interested in writing articles for theatre programmes. I was delighted to adapt an academic essay about the 1993 National Theatre revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel into a a programme article for the 25-year reunion concert at Cadogan Hall in 2019. If programme articles are something I can help you with, please do get in touch.
I’m also a first-time aspiring biographer researching a certain American baritone and film star – watch this space!
